BIO

Sir. Loin is a Nairobi-based electronic producer and open-format DJ whose musical prowess was shaped by mid-2000s Bristol rave culture and sharpened across years behind the decks in Kenya.

As a producer, he’s developing a bass-led electronic sound rooted in Jungle and Drum & Bass, while drawing inspiration from a much wider relationship with electronic and African music. His first official release, Head Knocker, marked the beginning of that recording journey.

Behind the decks, things get considerably broader. Jungle, Drum & Bass, UK Garage, Bassline, Afro-Tech, Amapiano, House, UK Funky and whatever else the room calls for. From heavy bass sessions to laid-back sundowners, Sir. Loin has spent over two decades finding the right groove for the right moment.
